Leadership by Cornerstone
June 2025
Greetings Reader,

One of the most common questions I get is:
“Do you use assessments in your coaching?”

The answer is yes — thoughtfully and strategically. Assessments are not the coaching; they’re the starting point for deeper, more targeted conversations.
Here’s how I integrate tools like the LINC Personality Profiler, Coachability@Work, and others to unlock insight and accelerate leadership growth.

Why Assessments Matter
Assessments give us a language and structure to explore questions like:
- How do you naturally lead and communicate?
- Where might your blind spots be?
- How do others perceive your adaptability, curiosity, or self-awareness?
Rather than relying on vague feedback or gut instinct, assessments provide objective, data-backed insight — making coaching more grounded, personal, and actionable.

I. THE TOOLS I USE (AND WHY)
LINC Personality Profiler (LPP)
This science-based personality tool offers a nuanced profile of your individual traits, showing how you approach leadership, decision-making, communication, and stress.
We explore:
- How do your traits influence leadership and communication?
- Where can you better leverage your strengths?
- What shows up under stress, and how can you manage it?

Coachability@Work
This diagnostic pinpoints how open and ready a leader is to learn, adapt, and grow — key predictors of long-term leadership success.
We explore:
- What’s easy for you to hear and act on?
- Where might resistance be holding you back?
- How do you respond to feedback and change?

The Leader’s Dashboard
A visual tool that aligns leadership behaviors, personal values, and strategic goals. It helps clients make intentional choices about how they show up — and track progress over time. We explore:
- How do you want to be perceived, and which behaviors support that?
- What values guide you, and how can you lead in line with them?
- What goals matter most, and how can your leadership drive progress?

II. IT’S NOT JUST ABOUT INSIGHT — IT’S ABOUT APPLICATION
Assessment results alone don’t create change. But interpreting them in context, reflecting on them in conversation, and applying them intentionally — that’s where growth happens.
Whether we're working on executive presence, navigating transition, or leading through complexity, these tools help us start with clarity and stay aligned throughout the coaching journey.

Want to Experience One for Yourself?
If you’re curious about how these tools could support your own leadership growth — or benefit someone on your team — I offer complimentary discovery calls.
Let’s talk about what’s possible.
Assessments aren't about putting people in boxes — they're about opening doors. The right tools, used thoughtfully, can spark self-awareness, accelerate growth, and align leadership with purpose. When combined with coaching, assessments become less about measurement and more about momentum.
